Recognizing that the results of some high impact research may not be fully available by the general abstract submission deadline, late-breaking is offered to allow researchers the opportunity to present this work at the Congress. A selected number of late breaking abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation during the scientific Late Breaking Session. The remaining accepted abstracts will be presented as a paper poster or ePoster only.
A late-breaking submission should report original and unpublished work that is still in progress and provides early results and/or innovative ideas. This includes preliminary research results, industry showcases, and system prototypes addressing XAI theory and practice. This type of work can be a good way to elicit helpful feedback and foster discussions among peers and newcomers to the field.
Unlike regular abstracts, the subject matter of late-breaking submissions should not be duplicated in the main call for posters or in the main call for oral presentations. This will help ensure the quality of the overall conference programme. Please note that the presentation of a late-breaking abstract at the Congress is contingent on the presenting author completing their financial disclosure and registration by Tuesday, June 17. In addition, authors responsible for bringing their posters to the conference, setting up and taking down their poster, travel/hotel accommodations and fees must also disclose any conflicts of interest with this submission.
The selection of the final list of scientific late-breaking abstracts onsite will be based on adherence to these criteria, as well as the ability to present during the allocated time. All abstracts will be published in the ASTCT’s February 2025 issue of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, where they can be accessed by the wider transplantation community.
